Escorted tours of Sicily. Shown here (at left): Two of Palermo's medieval Norman-Arab churches.

This year, join us on a unique journey through centuries and cultures on the world's most conquered island - a journey that will take you through the land of Phoenicians, Greeks, Carthaginians, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Normans, Swabians and a Spaniard or two. All in sunny Sicily.

Taormina's ancient
Greek amphitheatre, the Ionian Sea and Mt Etna.Nothing compares to the convenience of our tours. The itineraries are well-planned, frequent departures are guaranteed (we never cancel) every two weeks during every month of the year, and group size is small. These aren't "economical" or "mass market" tours, but they are affordable and they include more than you might usually expect at this price. You can read about each tour in the following comparison chart on this page, with useful links to more detailed descriptions (another page includes tour faqs and information about our company).

Our guided tours of Sicily focus on the interests of sophisticated visitors rather than "tourists," with an emphasis on ancient archeology, medieval civilization and colorful culture. Naturally, the cuisine is enticing too. There's no substitute for seeing a place like Sicily, and an escorted (guided) tour offers a long glimpse across the shadows cast by a lengthy multicultural history. It's not just the places and the vestiges of a series of cultures, but even the people and the food that make these tours - and Sicily itself - very special.

When is the best time to visit Sicily? While we offer enjoyable scheduled tours of Sicily throughout the year, we believe that the best months to visit are from early March through May and then from late September through November, avoiding the hottest and coolest months. But any time is a great time to discover Sicily!
